🎄When I think “Christmas,” I don’t picture a mountain of gifts under the tree. I picture the table. A few gorgeous dishes, plenty of chatter, and that feeling of being properly here.

This week, I’m keeping things simple and cozy. A quiet coffee before everyone wakes up, then a brunch spread that feels festive without turning my kitchen into a disaster zone.
On my table:
🍯Crostinis slathered in whipped feta with cranberry and honey (livened up by a scatter of thyme and a pistachio crunch) 🥣A simple yogurt bowl topped with passion fruit and toasted hazelnuts 🥑Sourdough toast with avocado, smoked salmon, dill, and lemon 🍳And my personal favorite Turkish eggs: I gave them a bit of a twist with a little hot gochujang butter!
And before the Christmas cooking chaos sets in, I have a cozy dinner for you, I have updated my ciulama recipe post. I'd love for you to try it with added mushrooms (for extra plant points). It’s creamy comfort food, the kind you make once and then quietly hope there are leftovers.

Christmas baking is coming to Candyflosslife kitchen!
Iggy, our daughter will be making gingerbread cookies and riciarelli (Italian almond cookies). I cannot wait until they fill our small home with that warm aroma of ginger, cloves and cinnamon spice. She will painstakingly decorate them while we are all waiting drooling impatiently until we get to try them 😂!
