We're officially plunged into spring and that makes everything better! There's so much brightness in the air, not to mention that my daffodils finally bloomed too 💛!

🥖The past few weeks have been packed with baking and retesting my ancient grain bread recipes. And giving some loving care to my sourdough starter. Because it makes that oven spring that much higher.

But I am fully aware that you may have no bandwidth in your life for nurturing a starter which is why I am planning to post a recipe for ancient grain bread that you can make in a few hours rather than days.

And what better to slather on toasted homemade bread than a healthy amount of butter beans hummus, a recipe that celebrates passing on of recipes from generation to generation. If you were waiting for last week's newsletter, big apologies, I have traveled to Türkiye again for work. But fear not, I have watched the experts at work making savory and sweet pide (basically a Turkish pizza made with the most delicate pastry. So I can try making them one day and share the recipe with you 😄.
